Sometimes it gets stored without being FULLY wrung out and the odor eminates from the stale water held within the absorber's pores. How can the glosser clean and wax at the same time? The glosser is a patented triceraphilic microfiber, as the product is applied to the surface the microfiber collects dust and film while the liquid/wax left behind evaporates into a wax coat on the paint surface.
